Honeywell Faces False Marking Suit Over Filters

Law360, New York (July 6, 2010, 12:30 PM EDT) -- Patect LLC has accused Honeywell International Inc. of marking a line of consumer automobile air and oil filters with expired patents.

Houston-based Patect lodged a qui tam action for false patent marking Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, targeting Honeywell's Fram line of filters, which are manufactured for use in automotive engines.
