TJX Directors, Pension Fund End Data Breach Fight

Law360, New York (July 7, 2010, 4:03 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana public pension fund has settled a suit accusing directors of The TJX Cos. Inc. of failing to prevent a data breach that exposed more than 45 million credit card numbers to hackers and cost the discount retailer millions of dollars.

The Louisiana Municipal Police Employees' Retirement System settled the breach of fiduciary duty complaint against more than a dozen current and former TJX directors in the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware on Friday.
