Senate Panel Probes $60M In Missing Medicare Claims

Law360, New York (July 7, 2010, 12:45 PM EDT) -- Senior members of the Senate Finance Committee are demanding answers from New York-based Fox Insurance Co. regarding the whereabouts of more than $60 million in Medicare Part D claim payments it received for its enrollees before federal regulators yanked Fox's Medicare drug contract in March.

Senate Finance chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and ranking member Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said Tuesday that they had sent Fox Insurance CEO Kary Shankar a letter asking him to disclose how much of the roughly $63 million it received from the Centers...
