Sierra Club Accuses Exxon Of Air Violations In Texas

Law360, New York (July 7, 2010, 1:17 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club and Environment Texas have told Exxon Mobil Corp. that one of the oil giant's facilities in Texas is operating in violation of the Clean Air Act and other regulations, paving the road for a lawsuit against the company.

The environmental groups sent Exxon a notice Friday saying its oil refinery and petrochemical plant in Baytown, Texas, has seen numerous violations of the CAA, Title V air operating permits and the Texas State Implementation Plan.
