Ex-CIBC Broker Alleges Wrongful Termination

Law360, New York (February 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A broker once employed by CIBC World Markets Corp. has hit his former firm with a lawsuit alleging malicious prosecution and breach of contract related to the market-timing case investigated by federal prosecutors.

In the suit, filed in New York State Supreme Court, Paul A. Flynn claimed that CIBC made him its scapegoat in an investigation into market-timing and late-trading by the New York Attorney General’s office and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
