Carp-Affected Locks To Stay Open For Now, Feds Say

Law360, New York (July 14, 2010, 7:16 PM EDT) -- Federal officials reiterated Wednesday that they were currently opposed to closing locks near Chicago in order to prevent Asian carp from reaching the Great Lakes and decimating native fish populations, but they said it remained on the table as a possible future option, as did the use of poison and sonic disruption.
