Former NIR Analyst Cops To Fraud, Kickbacks

Law360, New York (July 9, 2010, 4:20 PM EDT) -- A former analyst with investment firm The NIR Group LLC has pled guilty to allegations of securities fraud related to private investment in public equity transactions and admitted to receiving kickbacks in connection with the deals.

Daryl Dworkin entered a guilty plea Wednesday to all three counts against him in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Judge Raymond J. Dearie set a sentence date for Jan. 7, and Dworkin was released on a $500,000 bond.
