Microsoft Threatened OEMs: Ex-Novell Executive

Law360, New York (February 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The class action against Microsoft Corp. for alleged anti-competitive practices continued in Iowa on Monday, with a former executive of Novell Inc. testifying that the software giant used its market power to persuade companies not to use Novell’s operating system.

John Edwards, former executive vice president of the desktop systems group at Novell, testified about his experience with DR-DOS, a competing operating system to Microsoft’s MS-DOS.
