Apple Sues Over Alleged Power Adapter Knockoffs

Law360, New York (July 12, 2010, 11:48 AM EDT) -- Apple Inc. has gone on the offensive against online retailers for allegedly selling knockoff versions of the technology giant's patented power adapters.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, claims Brilliant Store Inc., Sunvalleytek International Inc. and Inc. infringe a design patent by peddling imitation 60-watt power adapters for use with Apple laptop computers.
