Munich Re Wants Wausau And Its Attys Sanctioned

Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 2:29 PM EDT) -- A Munich Re unit has struck back at a declaratory judgment action filed by Employers Insurance Co. of Wausau — now part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. — saying Wausau and its counsel should be sanctioned for objectively unreasonable and bad faith conduct.

Wisconsin-based Wausau had argued in its complaint that Rubin Fiorella & Friedman LLP should be disqualified from representing Munich Reinsurance America Inc. in arbitration proceedings between the parties.
