NY Set To Limit Phosphorus In Dishwasher Soap

Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 6:13 PM EDT) -- New York state lawmakers have delivered to Gov. David Paterson a bill that would limit the level of phosphorus in dishwasher detergent, a move that the measure's supporters say would improve water quality in the Empire State.

The bill, known as S3780B and introduced by Democratic state Sen. Antoine Thompson, was sent to Paterson on Friday after passing the state Assembly and state Senate last month.
