Dodd-Frank Finance Reform Bill Heads To Obama

Law360, New York (July 15, 2010, 11:10 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate voted 60-39 on Thursday to pass sweeping financial regulatory reform legislation, completing a yearlong legislative battle over the massive bill designed to wring excessive risk-taking out of the financial sector and enhance consumer protections.

The conference report for H.R. 4173, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, was immediately sent to the White House, where President Barack Obama is expected to sign it into law within days.
