Costco Gets Minimum Wage, OT Claims Tossed

Law360, New York (July 15, 2010, 3:37 PM EDT) -- A judge has granted Costco Wholesale Corp.'s bid to throw out claims alleging it denied employees minimum and overtime wages and forced them to remain locked inside its warehouses after the end of their shifts.

Judge Marilyn L. Huff granted the plaintiffs one month to file a third amended complaint without the minimum wage claim and correct inconsistencies regarding the number of hours part-time employee plaintiffs worked per week in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California on Wednesday.
