Sensient To Pay $7M To Settle NJ Superfund Suit

Law360, New York (July 21, 2010, 12:37 PM EDT) -- Flavor and fragrance manufacturer Sensient Technologies Corp. will pay $7.1 million to settle an environmental cleanup suit brought by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over the General Color Co. Superfund site in Camden, N.J.

Judge Joseph H. Rodriguez of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey approved the final deal Tuesday, formally closing the EPA's case.

Milwaukee-based Sensient had in January indicated it wanted to settle with the agency, estimating the deal would cost between $6.1 million and $7.3 million for settlement liabilities...
