Cisco, KV Targeted In False Marking Suits

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 11:55 AM EDT) -- Promote Innovation LLC has gone after KV Pharmaceutical Co. and Cisco Systems Inc. in its latest round of qui tam suits accusing major companies of marking their products with expired patents.

The suit against Cisco and its subsidiary Scientific-Atlanta LLC was filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, while the complaint against KV and its subsidiary Ther-Rx Corp. was filed a day earlier in the same court.
