Steel Cos. Urge Injury Finding In Chinese Dumping Case

Law360, New York (July 22, 2010, 2:16 PM EDT) -- The head of the Steel Manufacturers Association has urged the U.S. International Trade Commission to find that the domestic industry is being injured by Chinese dumping of magnesia carbon bricks, in a filing that also accuses Mexican exporters of helping Chinese companies circumvent hefty duties.

Steel Manufacturers Association President Thomas A. Danjczek's statement, filed Wednesday before the ITC, comes ahead of a closely watched July 27 hearing on whether China's alleged unfair trade practices are harming the U.S. industry.
