Examiner Appointed In Coudert Bros. Case

Law360, New York (February 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has ordered an examiner to look into allegations that dissolved international law firm Coudert Brothers LLP engineered its fall into bankruptcy to protect the firm's partners.

In an order dated Feb. 2, Judge Robert Drain of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York asked the U.S. Trustee in the case to appoint an examiner, subject to court approval.
