Restrictive Covenant Reform In Ga.?

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 1:58 PM EDT) -- Georgia has historically been considered one of the most difficult places in which to craft and enforce restrictive covenants limiting competition by former employees. That situation may be on the verge of changing dramatically.

The Georgia General Assembly has passed, and is submitting to the voters, a constitutional amendment that would make the state more hospitable to restrictive covenants and ease their legal enforcement. In general, it appears that a new era in this area of the law is fast approaching in Georgia.
