Sherwin-Williams Wins Case Over Incorrectly Used Paint

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 12:49 PM EDT) -- A federal court has tossed a product liability class action against Sherwin-Williams Co. brought by a family who claimed that they got sick because their house builder used the paint manufacturer's exterior paint inside their house.

Judge William P. Dimitrouleas of the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Florida ruled Friday that the plaintiffs had no expert-backed evidence that the paint caused their ills or damaged their house, granting the company's motion for summary judgment.
