Applied Materials To Pay $6M To End IP Contract Spat

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 4:02 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has signed off on a truce in Advanced Thermal Sciences Corp.'s suit against semiconductor maker Applied Materials Inc. that requires the defendant to accept an almost $450,000 judgment and pay $5.7 million in attorneys' fees, resolving a dispute over patent rights that came out of a development partnership.
