Daw, Otto Bock Settle Prosthetic Knee Antitrust Spat

Law360, New York (July 26, 2010, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Prosthetics company Daw Industries Inc. and Otto Bock Healthcare USA have struck a settlement deal in Daw's suit accusing Otto Bock and Hanger Orthopedic Group Inc. of conspiring to monopolize the market for microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knees.

Judge Victor E. Bianchini of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California signed off on the confidential deal Friday.

The deal calls for Otto Bock and its insurers to make a lump sum payment to Daw in exchange for Daw dropping its claims against Otto Bock....
