US Hikes Duty On Far Eastern Polyester Fiber By 15%

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 1:55 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has increased an anti-dumping duty margin on polyester staple fiber made by Far Eastern New Century Corp. by 15 percent following the agency's determination that the Taiwan-based company sold the merchandise below the standard price.

Notice of the bump, from 2.11 percent to 2.43 percent, was given by the International Trade Administration in the Federal Register on Tuesday after a final review revealed a product comparison error had been made in February's preliminary calculation.
