USPTO Upholds I4i Patent In Dispute With Microsoft

Law360, New York (July 27, 2010, 3:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has upheld the i4i LP patent at the center of a lawsuit with Microsoft Corp., finding all the challenged claims patentable and dealing Microsoft yet another blow in the dispute.

The USPTO issued a re-examination certificate Tuesday confirming the patentability of U.S. Patent Number 5,787,449, marking an end to the re-examination process Microsoft initiated after being sued by i4i in 2007, i4i said.
