China, Mexico Could Face Duties On Magnesia Bricks

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 4:02 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has determined that magnesia carbon bricks from China and Mexico are being dumped in the U.S., setting the stage for anti-dumping duties as high as 236 percent and countervailing duties up to nearly 254 percent.

The U.S. International Trade Administration announced Tuesday that it had reached affirmative final determinations in the anti-dumping duty investigations on magnesia carbon brick imports from the two countries as well as a countervailing duty investigation on bricks from China.
