HomeCorp Counters CNA Unit In $7M Real Estate Spat

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 12:48 PM EDT) -- Affordable housing company HomeCorp Management Inc. and its principals are asking a federal judge to force a CNA affiliate to cover two lawsuits stemming from a $7 million real estate deal following the insurer's attempt to escape coverage.

HomeCorp filed its counterclaim Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. The counterclaim was filed along with an answer to Continental Casualty Co.'s original complaint, which HomeCorp substantially denied.
