Enviros Ask FERC To Block 675-Mile El Paso Pipeline

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 3:26 PM EDT) -- The Center for Biological Diversity has called on federal regulators to take back their approval of a planned 675-mile natural gas pipeline that would stretch from western Wyoming to southern Oregon, citing risks to endangered species and other environmental hazards.

El Paso Corp.'s $3 billion Ruby Pipeline project threatens several species of fish and birds, and carries ongoing risks after construction is complete, the environmental group told the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in a filing Wednesday.
