Star DC Chef On Hook For FLSA Violations

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 6:50 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has found celebrity chef Roberto Donna liable for bilking employees at his restaurants, hitting the chef with damages potentially in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

On Tuesday, Judge Royce C. Lamberth of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia put Donna on the hook for rampant violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act at his former Washington-area hot spots, Galileo and Bebo Trattoria, but held off on calculating the amount until a closer accounting is completed.
