Gibson Dunn Reps Playdom In $563M Sale To Disney

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 1:20 PM EDT) -- Seeking to boost its presence in social media websites, The Walt Disney Co. has agreed to acquire online social gaming developer Playdom Inc. for $563.2 million.

The deal, announced Tuesday, also includes a performance-linked earn-out of up to $200 million, according to Disney.

Playdom, which has been in existence for approximately two and a half years, is known for developing popular social games including Social City, Sorority Life, Market Street and Bola for social media sites like Facebook and MySpace, as well as for the growing...
