ITC Greenlights Duties On Chinese Electric Blankets

Law360, New York (July 28, 2010, 3:35 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission determined Wednesday that domestic electric blanket manufacturers are materially injured by competing products from China, paving the way for an anti-dumping duty order on the imports.

The agency's commissioners voted unanimously to impose duties on the imports, which include finished and unassembled woven electric blankets. The move comes months after the U.S. Department of Commerce determined that the Chinese products were sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.

Commerce will now issue an anti-dumping duty order, the ITC said...
