Judge Blocks Hawaii Trash From Wash. Landfill

Law360, New York (July 29, 2010, 11:49 AM EDT) -- An American Indian tribe and several environmental groups succeeded Thursday in temporarily blocking the transport of Hawaiian garbage to a landfill in Washington state after alleging the plan posed a threat to historic American Indian sites and the local ecosystem.

Judge Edward F.
