Marine Reserve Sues ExxonMobil

Law360, New York (February 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A U.S. Marine Corps. reserve who twice left his job to serve overseas is suing Exxon Mobil Oil Corp., alleging the company treated him unfairly when he returned to his job as an apprentice.

The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, alleges that Todd Messina was deprived of income and overtime pay because he left to serve in the military, a violation of the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act.
