IBM, Dell, Others Fail To Nix Blade Server Patents

Law360, New York (August 3, 2010, 2:10 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has turned down a request by Dell Inc., IBM Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and other defendants to invalidate several patents for blade servers asserted in an infringement suit by Acqis LLC.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Monday denied a motion for partial summary judgment of indefiniteness on eight Acqis-held patents challenged by Dell, IBM and HP, as well as by co-defendants NEC Corp., Oracle America Inc. and Super Micro Computer Inc.
