Cascade Admits B&N Recordings Belong To Telos

Law360, New York (August 4, 2010, 5:22 PM EDT) -- German company Cascade GmbH has entered into a consent judgment recognizing that the copyrights for the classical music recordings it licensed to Barnes & Noble Inc. actually belong to Telos Holdings Inc.

Judge Aleta Trauger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee signed onto the consent judgment on Tuesday, dismissing the complaint Telos — which does business as Point Classics — brought in 2009 that claimed Barnes & Noble was distributing its music without authorization.
