Starr Ponzi Scheme Trial Postponed To 2011

Law360, New York (August 4, 2010, 6:27 PM EDT) -- Attorneys have postponed the criminal trial of Kenneth Ira Starr until next year, when the former financial adviser will face a jury on charges that he stole $59 million from his celebrity clients in a Ponzi scheme.

Judge Shira A. Scheindlin on Tuesday approved a move by Starr's counsel, Flora Edwards, to put the trial off until Jan. 4, 2011, according to her order in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The trial date had been set for Nov. 2....
