Commerce Declines To Sunset Russia Steel Margin

Law360, New York (August 5, 2010, 4:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has determined Russian exporters would likely begin selling hot-rolled steel in the U.S. below fair value if the federal government ended an anti-dumping probe, leaving in place a Russia-wide 184.56 percent margin on the product.

The decision came as the agency looked into whether it should sunset the anti-dumping duty determination, the U.S. International Trade Administration said Thursday in the Federal Register, in a case that drew the attention of domestic steelmakers including Nucor Corp., U.S. Steel Corp. and Steel Dynamics...
