US Hits Vietnam With 26% Shrimp Anti-Dumping Duty

Law360, New York (August 6, 2010, 1:55 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has imposed a preliminary Vietnam-wide margin of 25.76 percent on frozen warmwater shrimp as part of a sunset review, saying that revoking an anti-dumping duty order on the product would lead to dumping of the shrimp in the U.S. market.

Twenty-eight Vietnamese exporters in the multibillion-dollar global industry escaped the higher, countrywide rate, and were handed preliminary anti-dumping duty margins ranging from 4.30 percent to 5.24 percent, the U.S. International Trade Administration said Friday in a Federal Register notice.
