Securities Litigation Trends: Energy

Law360 (February 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- More than five years after Enron’s spectacular collapse, the energy industry is now facing fewer securities lawsuits than just about ever before. In fact, only one new securities suit involving a major energy company was filed in federal court in 2006, according to our survey of the 65 utility, gas and oil companies in the S&P 500.
