Judge Greenlights Claims In ABFS Bankruptcy

Law360 (February 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge overseeing the bankruptcy proceedings of American Business Financial Services Inc. has reportedly refused to block a series of charges accusing units of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Ocwen Financial Corp. of financial misdeeds in the mortgage lender's Chapter 11 case.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Mary F. Walrath on Tuesday dismissed fraud claims against RBS affiliate Greenwich Capital Financial Products Inc. and Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC, but left standing other charges against Greenwich Capital, Dow Jones said.
