J&J Faces Inquiries From State AGs Over Recalls

Law360, New York (August 11, 2010, 7:07 PM EDT) -- Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson revealed in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday that it had received requests for information about recent product recalls from multiple state attorneys general.

The company said it had received "civil investigative demands" from the state authorities relating to the recalls, but did not identify which attorneys general had issued the requests.

A spokesman for J&J could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
