Rubbermaid Faces False Marking Suit Over Rolodex

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 4:09 PM EDT) -- Newell Rubbermaid Inc. has been accused of illegally marking a Rolodex hole punch product with at least one expired patent.

The complaint was filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas by Patent Group LLC, a small company that owns several patents, said Ken Good of Kent Good Anderson & Bush PC, who represents the plaintiff.

According to the suit, Rubbermaid and Moore Push Pin Co., another company that makes the Rolodex Punch device, have falsely marked the product with U.S....
