Commerce Kills Duties For Thai Plastic Bags Group

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 12:33 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has eliminated anti-dumping duties on plastic bags from three affiliated companies that make up the Thai Plastic Bags Group, following an order by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to bring the margins in line with a World Trade Organization decision.

The margin on bags exported by Thai Plastic Bags Industries Co. Ltd., Winner's Pack Co. Ltd. and APEC Film Ltd. was initially set at 2.26 percent in 2004, the International Trade Administration said Wednesday in a Federal Register notice....
