FERC Delays Look At New Intrastate Pipeline Rules

Law360, New York (September 21, 2010, 4:37 PM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has put off making a decision on requests by numerous energy companies, including ConocoPhillips Co. and Chevron USA Inc., that FERC reconsider a July ruling that prohibited certain types of transactions involving intrastate pipelines.

In an order issued Monday, the last day the agency had under the law to respond to the Aug. 20 request, FERC said it would consider the merits of the request at an unspecified future time.
