Enbridge Hit With Another Action Over Mich. Oil Spill

Law360, New York (August 12, 2010, 6:51 PM EDT) -- A group of Michigan homeowners on Thursday sued Enbridge Inc. in an effort to force it to pay for property damage due to an oil spill that has dumped nearly 1 million gallons of oil into the Kalamazoo River, marking the latest putative class action against the pipeline company.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, also calls on the company to perform long-term medical testing to monitor the effects of exposure to petroleum products.
