$3M Trade Secrets Award Against Pearl River Nixed

Law360, New York (August 13, 2010, 3:38 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has nixed a $3 million jury award finding that Pearl River Polymers Inc. misappropriated ClearValue Inc.'s trade secrets, but has upheld a $2.2 million award finding Pearl River infringed ClearValue's water treatment technology patent.

U.S. Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas found Thursday that a jury was presented with sufficient evidence to support ClearValue's infringement claim but not its claim of trade secret misappropriation.
