2nd Circ. Revives Sex Bias Case Against Verizon

Law360, New York (August 16, 2010, 1:39 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has revived a suit in which a female Verizon Communications Inc. field technician claims that the company maintained a hostile work environment at the garage where she worked.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Friday overturned a lower court's grant of summary judgment to Verizon and remanded the case, ruling that a reasonable jury could conclude that the gender-based conduct alleged by the plaintiff created an abusive work environment.
