DC Circ. Won't Revive Age Bias Suit Against FDIC

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 1:39 PM EDT) -- A district court was right to throw out a class action brought on behalf of current and former Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. employees who claimed that the FDIC's management targeted older workers when thinning the agency's ranks, a federal appeals court has held.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit handed down on opinion in Friday, affirming the lower court's decision to grant the FDIC summary judgment.
