Kason To Pay $3M Fine For Antitrust Conspiracy

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 3:09 PM EDT) -- A federal court on Tuesday ordered food service hardware company Kason Industries Inc. to pay a $3.3 million fine for participating in a conspiracy to divide up customers with its supposed competition.

The sentence was handed down in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Kason had agreed to pay the fine in May when it pled guilty to one count of participating in a conspiracy, according to court documents.
