Courtney Love, Manager Settle Nirvana Profit Suit

Law360, New York (August 18, 2010, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Courtney Love, widow of former Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has settled a $1 million lawsuit with a management firm that accused her of breaking a verbal contract to share profits from the sale of part of Nirvana’s publishing catalog.

Love’s attorney, James Janowitz of Pryor Cashman LLP, confirmed to Law360 on Wednesday that Love and London & Co. agreed in early August to drop the dispute, which the company initiated two years ago in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
