Feds, NY Settle Over Nuclear Site Cleanup Costs

Law360, New York (August 18, 2010, 6:38 PM EDT) -- The state of New York has reached a settlement with the federal government in a dispute over the cleanup of a nuclear site, agreeing to split many of the costs of decontamination.

Judge John T. Curtin of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York approved the consent decree Tuesday, determining the financial responsibility for nuclear cleanup of the site without specifying the measures to be taken.
