Voting Deadline For Tribune Ch. 11 Plan Extended

Law360, New York (August 17, 2010, 7:19 PM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge agreed Tuesday to extend the voting deadline for the Tribune Co.’s reorganization plan, setting up a potentially contentious hearing on the new deadline for Friday.

Judge Kevin J. Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware granted the debtor’s motion to allow the deadline to “float,” giving Tribune Co. and its creditors further time to negotiate a number of contested issues, including the “Contours” motion — a set of procedures for the plan confirmation hearing.
